The option to reserve an iPhone Duo for in-store pickup resumed in the U.S. and Canada today, but inventory is extremely limited. Most Apple Stores have no available pickup slots.

According to MacRumors, the pickup option became available for a brief period between 5:10 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. Pacific Time today. Customers can check local store availability by visiting the iPhone Duo order page, selecting their preferred specifications, and entering their ZIP code.

Apple’s pickup service had previously been offered for only a few minutes when pre-orders began on October 16, after which the option disappeared until now. The company is also rolling out this service in several other countries, including Australia and various European nations.

Apple has described the demand for the iPhone Duo as “nothing short of extraordinary.” The device’s popularity has resulted in delivery estimates stretching into late January. Customers have faced long queues at stores, with many only managing to acquire a device through walk-in visits.

The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable phone, featuring a 7.6-inch inner display, which is the largest ever on an iPhone. This design allows for multiple uses and significantly enhances the user experience. The device can be opened to function as a tablet or closed for traditional smartphone use. A key feature is the small FaceTime camera, which remains hidden until needed for calls.

In addition to its large display, the iPhone Duo offers split-screen capability for multitasking, allowing users to view multiple apps simultaneously. It also includes a new dual-battery system and improved memory bandwidth to extend battery life.

Many customers are eager to explore the new capabilities of the iPhone Duo. According to Fox News, it even incorporates a feature called Smart Take, which automatically captures photos when everyone is ready. It is available at T-Mobile for $0 upfront with the right plan.

As demand remains high and inventory is limited, Apple is encouraging potential buyers to regularly check the pickup tool for availability.
