Tata Motors’ arm recalls 44,000 cars over CO2 emissions levels in UK

Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary — Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has started a voluntary recall of around 44,000 cars in the UK over higher than certified levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The company will contact the owners of the affected vehicles to arrange for free-of-charge repairs.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
