NTPC surges on the bourses

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 135.80, up by 1.75 points or 1.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 134.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 134.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 137.30 and Rs. 133.95 respectively. So far 98074 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 149.88 on 18-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.75 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 137.30 and Rs. 128.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 132636.54 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.77% and 3.30% respectively.

NTPC’s 200 kilo watt (kW) waste-to-energy plant in Karsada has achieved full generation capacity. The plant is located in Karsada at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh (UP). The project is in line with the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission, promoting a healthy environment through proper waste utilisation.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
