NTPC rises as its Vindhyachal Thermal Power Plant generates highest ever 37,538 million units in FY19

Mumbai : NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 135.10, up by 0.35 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 134.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 135.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 135.80 and Rs. 134.50 respectively. So far 49712 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 149.88 on 18-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.75 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 140.35 and Rs. 132.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 134318.62 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.19%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.72% and 3.09% respectively. NTPC’s Vindhyachal Thermal Power Station has generated record 37,538.97 million units (MUs) in 2018-19. The plant, with an installed capacity of 4,760 MW, was able to surpass its previous best of 37,496 MUs generated in 2017-18 through enhanced operational efficiency. NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
