NHPC has organized ‘Basant Mela 2019’ with great fervour and enthusiasm at the NHPC Residential complex, Surajkund, Faridabad on March 09, 2019.
Apart from welcoming the arrival of spring, the Mela was also organized to mark the approval of investment sanction for construction of Kiru HE Project (624 MW) by Chenab Valley Projects (CVPPPL) (a JV of NHPC, JKSPDC and PTC) by Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), approval of NHPC’s acquisition of Lanco’s 500 MW Teesta-VI Hydroelectric Project by CCEA and appointment of NHPC by Ministry of Power as ‘Aggregator’ under Pilot Scheme–II for procurement of aggregated Power of 2500 MW for 3 years through PFC Consultancy (PFCCL).
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
