Canara Bank spurts on the bourses

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 273.20, up by 2.85 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 269.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 269.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 273.65 and Rs. 266.75 respectively. So far 186702 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 302.10 on 09-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 205.15 on 23-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 296.50 and Rs. 266.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20269.82 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.62%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.91% and 7.47% respectively.

Canara Bank is planning to sell the equity shares of Webcon Consultancy (India), unlisted company. In this regard, the bank has floated RFQ (Request for Quotes) on July 08, 2019 and invited quotation/bid for purchase of the said equity shares from the bank.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
