Bharti Airtel gains on launching e-book services for Airtel, non-Airtel customers

Mumbai : Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 357.90, up by 8.00 points or 2.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 349.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 353.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 359.20 and Rs. 352.60 respectively. So far 62411 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 427.00 on 25-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 277.00 on 22-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 363.15 and Rs. 328.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 139869.03 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.03% and 1.83% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has launched of its e-book services which will be offered to subscribers through mobile app Airtel Books. The service will be available to both Airtel and non-Airtel customers in iOS and Android, which will initially offer over 70,000 titles from Indian and international authors.

The company is offering complimentary 30 day trial of the app after which customers interested in continuing with the service will need to pay Rs 129 for six months and Rs 199 for 12 months. During the trial period, the company is offering access to any five ‘Paid’ titles from the Readers Club, which has a collection of over 5000 e-books, to smartphone users on its network.
