Limited iPhone Duo Availability for Walk-In Customers on October 23

IPhone Ultra Fold

Apple’s new iPhone Duo will be available in limited quantities for walk-in customers starting Friday, October 23, at select Apple Stores.

The availability extends to stores in the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, and several other countries. Customers in France, China, and some other nations will need to reserve the device, as it won’t be available for direct purchase.

Apple cited the need to manage crowd sizes and combat scalping as reasons for the limited walk-in supply. While most stores are expected to have some inventory, the exact details for availability in Italy are unspecified.

The iPhone Duo will retail starting at $2,000 and features a 5.4-inch exterior display and a 7.6-inch foldable interior display. Analysts see this launch as a significant departure for Apple, which usually adheres to familiar design concepts.

Early impressions of the device show excitement alongside some frustration. Users have reported that many popular apps are not yet optimized for its unique screen dimensions, causing inconsistent performance. Some reviewers praised the device for multimedia use but criticized the lag in app customization.

Apple states that developers are increasingly updating their applications to better fit the Duo’s specifications, suggesting possible enhancements post-launch.

Reservations for in-store pickups are expected to open on Apple’s online platform starting Saturday, October 24, although specifics for launch day remain unconfirmed.

Despite mixed reviews on app compatibility, enthusiasm for the iPhone Duo is growing as consumers await its official launch.
