30lakh Hawala cash, poppy husk caught from bus passengers on Pindwara Highway

Udaipur : In a joint action, a special operation group (SOG) and Pratapnagar police seized Rs 30 lakh, allegedly part of a hawala transaction and 6.700 kilograms of poppy husk from three passengers travelling in a private bus coming from Nimbahera to Udaipur near Debari on the Pindwara highway on Friday noon. The police had a tip of drug peddlers carrying narcotics in a private bus and as a part of search, the SOG had stopped the bus on Pindwara highway.

However, while the passengers were being checked, cops discovered 30 lakh rupees cash from one of the bag which belonged to Bherulal son of Mohanlal Sharma of Kheroda block. Bherulal told the police that a grocery trader in Nimbaheda had entrusted him to handover the bag to a jeweler in Udaipur city. He could not give a satisfactory explanation about the cash upon which the money was seized by the SOG. The cops also arrested Vikas Bishnoi and Bhakarram residents of Jodhpur for carrying poppy husk weighing 6.700 kilograms in the same bus.
