Rail Vikas Nigam awards contract to Ashoka Buildcon’s JV

Rail Vikas Nigam has awarded a contract to Ashoka Buildcon’s Joint Venture (JV) — ABL-STS JV, wherein Ashoka Buildcon is lead member, for works related to doubling of a railway track in Punjab. The accepted Bid Value of the Project is Rs 443.23 crore with a completion period of 36 months from the date of commencement of the work.

The Project is for the Construction of Roadbed, minor bridges, supply of ballast, Installation of track (excluding supply of rails, PSC sleepers & Thick web switches), Electrical (Railway Electrification and General Electrification), Signaling and Telecommunication works for Doubling of track between Kakrala Halt (Excluding) and Hadiaya (Including) from Km 57.50 to Km 115.64 in Ambala Division of Northern Railway in the state of Punjab.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), is a Special Purpose Vehicle created to undertake project development, mobilization of financial resources and implement projects pertaining to strengthening of Golden Quadrilateral and Port Connectivity.
