ITC surges on reporting 19% rise in Q4 net profit

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 293.55, up by 3.70 points or 1.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 289.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 291.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 294.10 and Rs. 289.00 respectively. So far 157129 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 322.70 on 03-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 258.90 on 28-Jun-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 303.50 and Rs. 288.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 356481.01 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 55.24% and 44.76% stake respectively, in the company.

ITC has reported a rise of 18.73% in its net profit at Rs 3,481.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs 2,932.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 14.27% at Rs 12,946.21 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 11,329.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, the company has posted a rise of 12.68% in its net profit at Rs 12,646.32 crore as compared to Rs 11,223.25 crore for the previous year. Total income of company increased marginally by 3.89% at Rs 48,268.93 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 46,459.61 crore for year ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted rise of 11.66% in its net profit at Rs 12,824.20 crore as compared to Rs 11,485.10 crore for the previous year. Total income of company increased by 5.08% at Rs 52,035.90 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 49,520.41 crore for year ended March 31, 2018.
