New Delhi, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): IndiGo has signed an agreement with Airbus to purchase 30 additional A350-900 aircraft, taking its total confirmed wide-body aircraft orders to 60.
In a statement, the airline said it has converted 30 of its 70 purchase rights for Airbus A350-900 aircraft into firm orders.
According to the company, “IndiGo has now increased its confirmed order for Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft from 30 to 60.” Both parties had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in June for these additional 30 jets.
Currently, IndiGo operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft. The airline, India’s largest by market share, is actively expanding its international network and now retains purchase rights for 40 more A350 aircraft.
