Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 258.45, up by 1.80 points or 0.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 256.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 257.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 258.85 and Rs. 254.15 respectively. So far 16036 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 299.60 on 28-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 212.00 on 14-Feb-2019.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 265.00 and Rs. 252.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 158875.14 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.09% and 2.95% respectively.
Coal India has supplied 491.54 million tonnes (MT) coal to power plants in Tamil Nadu in 2018-19, which was 8.2 per cent more than the coal supplied in 2017-18. In 2018-19, the company’s coal supply to power plants of Tangedco in Tamil Nadu rose 3.5 per cent to 23.26 MT, compared to 22.49 MT in 2017-18.
