Andhra Bank slips on reporting net loss of Rs 1234 crore in Q4

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 23.95, down by 0.45 points or 1.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 24.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 24.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 24.40 and Rs. 23.40 respectively. So far 20758 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 38.35 on 28-May-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.70 on 18-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 25.80 and Rs. 23.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7132.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 90.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.51% and 4.64% respectively.

Andhra Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 1,233.61 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019, against net loss of Rs 2,535.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the Bank marginally increased by 4.34% at Rs 5,313.53 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 5,092.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, the Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 2,786.13 crore against net loss of Rs 3,412.53 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of Bank marginally increased 3.10% at Rs 20,977.26 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 20,346.60 crore for the period ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, on the consolidated basis, the Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 2,767.09 crore against net loss of Rs 3,394.39 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the Bank marginally increased by 4.63% at Rs 22,290.98 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 21,305.46 crore for year ended March 31, 2018.
