New Delhi, 22 November (Udaipur Kiran)। Reliance Foundation has been honoured for its significant contribution to Indian sports at FICCI’s 15th Global Sports Summit ‘TURF 2025’ and the India Sports Awards 2025.

Under the leadership of Nita M. Ambani, the foundation has been focusing on strengthening sports from grassroots to high-performance levels across the country. She is widely regarded as one of India’s emerging sports leaders.
Reliance Foundation received the award for ‘Best Corporate Promoting Sports – High Performance’. FICCI praised Nita Ambani’s far-sighted vision, noting her role as the first Indian woman member of the International Olympic Committee and her contribution to elevating India’s sporting aspirations.
While accepting the honour, Nita Ambani dedicated the award to the Reliance Foundation family and young sportspersons of India. She said the coming decade will be the golden decade for Indian sports, and that hosting the 2036 Olympic Games is the collective dream of 1.4 billion Indians. She affirmed that Reliance Foundation is committed to helping realise this dream.
She highlighted that the foundation has impacted the lives of over 23 million youth, supporting them at school, community, grassroots and high-performance levels. “When our youth succeed, the nation stands tall with pride,” she said.
Emphasising the rise of Indian women in sports, she added, “Sport has the power to transform lives, unite societies and energise nations. Our daughters continue to make the nation proud. When our girls play, every girl and every woman win.”
The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, athletes and sports innovators to discuss and shape the future of Indian sports.
