Udaipur Kiran: HDFC Bank, one of India’s leading private sector banks, has unveiled My Business QR — the country’s first instant digital storefront QR for small businesses. The announcement was made at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025.
Developed in partnership with Vyaparify, this innovation extends the Bank’s popular SmartHub Vyapar app, already used by over two million merchants nationwide. The My Business QR combines two of India’s most common digital habits — QR payments and chat — to create a seamless engagement-based online shopping experience.
With this feature, merchants can instantly create a digital business profile that doubles as an online storefront. Customers can scan the QR code to view the merchant’s products or services, place orders, and make payments securely. The system also allows customers to save the merchant’s profile in their contacts and helps merchants become more discoverable through search engine–optimised listings.
According to the Bank, this offering will enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand their digital commerce presence without major investment or technical expertise.
Rajanish Prabhu, Head – Payments & Direct Banking Channels, HDFC Bank, said, “Our vision is to empower every merchant with technology that enhances business growth and customer trust. With SmartHub Vyapar, we simplified digital payments; now with My Business QR, we are giving merchants a digital foundation to grow in today’s economy. The launch at GFF reflects our commitment to inclusive and simple technology solutions for small businesses.”
Ruby Jain, Founder of Vyaparify, added, “Our goal has always been to provide every small business with a simple digital identity that customers can search, save, and engage with. Together with HDFC Bank, we are introducing India’s first commerce identity QR — one platform for identity, discovery, engagement, and commerce.”
The launch marks a major milestone in promoting digital inclusion, enabling India’s small businesses to not only collect payments efficiently but also build a credible online presence in the growing digital economy.
