TCS trades in green on the bourses

Tata Consultancy Services is currently trading at Rs. 2155.00, up by 19.45 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 2135.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2140.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2167.00 and Rs. 2130.75 respectively. So far 22308 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2273.00 on 01-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1708.00 on 14-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2193.60 and Rs. 2104.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 811246.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.63% and 4.32% respectively.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reclaimed the status of the country’s most valued firm by market valuation, surpassing Reliance Industries (RIL).
RIL shares have been on a downhill, falling for the fourth day in a row on Thursday. In four days, the shares have plunged 10.79% to Rs 1,255.15 on the BSE. Following the plunge in its share price, RIL’s market valuation dropped to Rs 7,95,628.55 crore on the BSE.

At the close of trade, the market capitalisation (m-cap) of TCS stood at Rs 8,13,779.67 crore, which is Rs 18,151.12 crore more than that of RIL’s valuation.
